The Zoom! Whitening System
When you brush your teeth, you may look in the mirror and wonder why
your teeth are clean, but still look dingy or yellow. You may have even
tried a home whitening system that you bought at the store and have been
disappointed with the results. If this is the case, talk to your dentist
about whitening with Zoom!™
Zoom!™ Whitening is a one-of-a-kind whitening system that is safe and effective.
You can remove the toughest stains from your teeth and have a dazzlingly
white smile after one hour in the dentist’s chair. Better yet,
the Zoom!™ Whitening System has long lasting results.
How Discoloration Happens
Everyday, your teeth go through a work out. While the top layers of
your teeth, the enamel and the dentin, are durable, they can become discolored
by wine, tea, coffee, or tobacco. Even medication, antibiotics, excessive
fluoride, and aging can make your teeth dingy and stained looking.
While there are a variety of home care products on the market, nothing
gets your teeth as white as quickly as the Zoom!™ Whitening System
offered at your dentist’s office. If you’re interested in
whiter teeth, talk to your dentist. They will examine your mouth and
discuss the advantages of Zoom!™ Whitening with you.
The Zoom Process
When you’re ready to try Zoom Whitening, professionals in your dentist’s
office will place protective coverings over your lips and gums. Then
they will apply the Zoom!™ Whitening Gel, composed of a pH balanced
hydrogen peroxide, to your teeth. The dentist will use a special, low-heat
Zoom!™ Light to activate the gel so it will to penetrate the enamel
and dentin in your teeth to remove deep stains and discoloration. After
this, your dentist will apply a fluoride treatment to complete the one
hour procedure.
Many patients report that Zoom!™ Whitening made their teeth six to ten shades
whiter. Some have even said that their smile became even brighter days
after their dentist’s appointment. More importantly, the results
lasted for years. If you do notice any discoloration, the Zoom!™ Whitening
System includes a take-home touch-up kit and trays you can use at home.
With regular brushing and flossing, and a once a year touch-up at home,
your teeth can remain dazzlingly white for years.
Safe and Effective
Lately, the media has been abuzz with articles about the safety of whitening
your teeth. Extensive research and clinical studies by organizations,
such as the American Dental Association, indicate that whitening with
the supervision of a dentist is safe. In fact, many dentists consider
whitening the safest cosmetic dental procedure available.
With Zoom!™, whitening is not only safe, but non-intrusive as
well. Throughout the procedure, many patients listen to music, watch
TV, or sleep. The Zoom!™ Light is low heat and when it’s
in use, dentists place protective covering over all of the soft tissue
in your mouth and provide eye goggles to protect your eyes.
As with any teeth whitening product, Zoom!™ Whitening is not recommended
for children under 13 years of age and pregnant or lactating women. If
you have light sensitivity from undergoing PUVA therapy (Psoralen+UV
Radiation) or other photochemotherapy, you should not use Zoom!™ Whitening.
People taking any light sensitive drugs or substances should also
consult with their dentist and primary physician prior to using Zoom!™ If
you have strong gag reflex or feel anxious about dentistry, talk to your
dentist about the options they have to help you.
You don’t have to live with dingy, yellow teeth anymore. A bright,
sparkling smile can change the way people see you and how you feel about
yourself. And you can achieve it the same way hundreds of others have
with Zoom!™
